We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Avionics Technician to join our team, specializing in general aviation aircraft. The ideal candidate is someone who can independently manage avionics tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision and a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot avionics systems, especially in general aviation aircraft
- Work with a wide range of avionics brands, with strong preference for:
- Garmin (top priority)
- Avidyne, Dynon, and other common platforms
- Perform IFR certifications on aircraft
- Interpret and work from avionics schematics and wiring diagrams
- Upgrade existing avionics systems to newer configurations
- Manage full-cycle avionics installations from planning through completion
- Assist in bidding and estimating jobs when needed
Qualifications
- Build and run wire harnesses
- Install and run Pitot/Static lines
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team
- Must supply own basic tools
- Industry knowledge and experience in general aviation avionics
- Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in variable conditions, including hot summers and cold winters
- Willing to work in hangars or on the flight line as needed
- Troubleshoot wiring, cable, autopilot, and general avionics issues
Pay: $40.00 per hour
