Job Objective
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.
Essential Functions
Maintains accurate, confidential, and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
Fields inquiries and takes messages from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Prepares and analyzes HR metrics reports to support recruitment and retention efforts
Uploads recruitment documentation to Paylocity onboarding
Collects, reviews, and prepares documents for on-site interviews and records interview notes
Serves as corporate office concierge to new and/or visiting employees and outside agencies when necessary
Assists with recruiting efforts
Assists with employee engagement initiatives, including coordinating food trucks and other external vendors
Orders and tracks labor law postings for all company locations
Provides clerical support and assists HR Department employees
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with or the ability to adapt to a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Education & Experience
Associates degree in related field preferred
Prior office experience preferred
Aviation experience a plus
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of walking and standing
Ability to lift 20 pounds at times
Work Environment
Temperature controlled office
Exposure to outdoor shop with potential extreme cold and hot temperatures and loud noises
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
Full Time
Monday-Thursday, 8am – 5pm; Friday, 8am – 3pm
Potential for travel, 1-2 times per year
