Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pilot Car Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a motor vehicle, ensuring the highest standards of safety. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence in motor vehicle operations and the ability to work collaboratively with the Truck Drivers you are escorting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Navigate motor vehicle following appropriate routes as approved and permitted by state and local DOT offices.
- Maintain communication with Truck Driver throughout the trip.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of each trip with mileage and fuel used.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license required
- Pilot Car Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of USDOT rules and regulations preferred.
- Experience with route driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
