Dedienne Aerospace is a global provider of quality aerospace maintenance tooling for both civil and defense markets. We are experts in the tooling services offering repair, calibration, upgrade, load testing, leasing, stock and training. Our Miami, FL facility, is currently looking for a Test and Repair Technician to assist with the ever-growing needs of our company.
The Test and Repair Technician will provide testing and repair to a variety of different types of aerospace engine tooling and engine stands. Repairs may include assembly utilizing hand and power tools as well as calibration tools. Experience with sandblasting and painting is required. Pay is competitive and dependent on prior experience. Entry level to lead positions available.
Activities:
- Sandblasting and Painting
- Test products for functionality or quality.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
- Assist in product assemblies.
- Works on several projects at one time.
- Assist in the set up or equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience
Painting and Sandblasting experience is required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus practical knowledge of basic ground service equipment (GSE).
