Job Summary
Frenchman Valley Coop is seeking a dependable and experienced Aerial Agronomy Coordinator / Manager to oversee our aerial application operations. This role is responsible for managing dispatch, coordinating chemical application via spray plane, supervising aircraft maintenance and repairs, and maintaining accurate inventory for the location. The Aerial Manager plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely service to our member-owners and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily aerial agronomy application operations, including scheduling and dispatch of spray planes
- Coordinate and supervise chemical application activities to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Manage aircraft maintenance and repairs, working with pilots, mechanics, and vendors as needed
- Maintain inventory control of chemicals, parts, and supplies at the location
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, state and federal application requirements, and company safety policies
- Collaborate with agronomy staff, pilots, and customers to meet application needs and timelines
- Maintain accurate records related to applications, maintenance, inventory, and reporting
- Promote a safe, efficient, and customer-focused work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in aerial application, agronomy operations, or aviation management preferred
- Strong understanding of chemical application processes and safety standards
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance coordination (hands-on experience a plus)
- Organizational and dispatching experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work extended hours during peak application seasons
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment confidently.
- Basic math skills for measurements, data analysis, and record keeping are required.
- Strong knowledge of farming principles including agriculture best practices and sustainable crop production methods related to application of agronomy products.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment closely with producers, Sales Representatives, Location Managers and the Operations Team.
- Valid driver’s license required; aviation-related certifications are a plus
