Conway Aircraft Maintenance Services, LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time A&P/IA leadership-track position at our Conway Regional Airport (KCXW) Part 145 Certified Repair Station. Conway Aircraft specializes in avionics and maintenance for jet, turbine and piston aircraft with a particular focus on Cessna Citation jets, and all Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper and Mooney general aviation aircraft makes and models. Conway Aircraft is an authorized dealer for Garmin and Honeywell avionics. We are seeking a motivated, experienced Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with Inspector Authorization who wants to be part of a growing family-owned company with a great culture.
The starting pay negotiable depending on experience and certificates but is minimum $40+ per hour with 40 hours per week guaranteed and paid time-off. Health care, retirement and profit-sharing plans negotiable.
Responsibilities
- A&P/IA will perform maintenance services including aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance.
- Work Week: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, weekends in AOG situations.
- Work independently to perform aircraft inspections as per FAA regulations.
- Manage inventory to ensure stock of tools, parts and equipment.
- Research and procurement of appropriate parts for required tasks.
- Clearly document aviation log books, service paperwork, and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
- Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and customer flight crews.
- Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between management, vendors and team members.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all your fellow A&Ps and avionics team.
Requirements and skills
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- FAA Inspector Authorization (IA).
- 2-5 years in general aviation aircraft maintenance experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Computer literacy: Experience with aviation maintenance management software (Quantum MX or similar).
- Tools: Must have own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools.
- Must be physically able to perform labor tasks required of A&P mechanics.
- Must be able to pass FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Ability to work flexible schedcule when required by customer needs.
- Must be able to troubleshoot aircraft discrepensies and recommend repairs.
- Must demonstrate leadership by working independently on assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inspections and maintenance on Cessna Citation jets.
- Experience with Continental and Lycoming piston engine overhaul and removal/installation.
- Sheet metal experience and proficiency.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station regulations.
