Application Question(s):
- Describe a specific program where you led or were directly responsible for scaling production from prototype or pilot line to higher-rate manufacturing. Include:
Starting vs ending production rate (units/week or month)
Key bottlenecks encountered
What you changed in process, layout, or staffing to scale?
- Have you designed or significantly restructured a production floor layout or workflow to improve throughput? Describe:
The original problem
What changes you made (layout, line design, material flow)
Measurable results (cycle time, throughput, cost reduction)
- Describe how you have managed production scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation in a high-mix or high-tempo environment. What tools or systems did you use, and how did you adjust when plans broke?
- Provide a specific example where you improved manufacturing throughput, quality, or unit cost. Include:
The baseline problem (defects, delays, cost, etc.)
What actions you implemented (process, QA, DFM/DFA changes)
Quantifiable results
