Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our fleet.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft airframes and powerplant systems in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 43 standards.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, CAD drawings, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, to ensure components meet strict specifications.
- Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts using soldering, hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques as needed for repairs or assembly.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities .
- Collaborate with avionics technicians on electrical systems troubleshooting involving schematics and electrical experience.
- Perform equipment repair tasks involving assembly/disassembly of aircraft components while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with demonstrated mechanic experience in aviation maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience relevant to aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to aircraft systems.
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and use of hand tools including calipers, micrometers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), aviation safety protocols, and aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting work accurately and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
