Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our REACH (youth treatment program) team located in Nelsonville, OH.
As the Transportation Specialist, you will be will be responsible for transporting designated youth (children ages 10-17) to and from our REACH programs as needed, maintain a record of mileage, time and names of clients transported each trip, arrange for agency vehicle maintenance, operate the agency vehicle in accordance with agency and state of Ohio law and safety regulations and policies. You will also monitor and maintain behaviors of multiple clients while in transit by utilizing de-escalation skills obtained from DBMT/CPI training.
What do we look for in our Transportation Specialists??
- Eligible to work in the United Stated
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and vehicle suitable for transportation. (Must have a minimum of 3 years driving experience and be at least 25 years of age)
- Must be able to demonstrate the skills, ability, and motivation to work in a cooperative manner with team members in assessment, problem solving, and delivery of services;
- Be dependable, responsible, and flexible
- Demonstrate efficient and effective work habits;
- Willing to learn and follow standards of care as outlined by the agency policies and procedures;
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
