POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician with 5+ years of experience in installing and troubleshooting avionics systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of avionics systems and electrical systems diagnostics, with the ability to install, test, and repair a wide variety of avionics equipment on aircraft. Experience with helicopters is a plus!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install and troubleshoot avionics systems including radios, autopilots, navigation systems, and passenger entertainment systems.
· Run wires and cables, mount antennas, and connect instruments for navigation and engine monitoring.
· Test, inspect, and ensure the proper function of avionics systems before returning aircraft to service.
· Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
· Remove, repair, and re-install malfunctioning avionics equipment.
· Perform intricate soldering on components and assemble/install electrical components.
· Provide accurate diagnoses of discrepancies and organize ground support and test equipment.
· Analyze flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and improve the operation of electrical components.
· Maintain detailed records of all work and repairs in accordance with repair station guidelines.
· Coordinate with the Avionics Manager, technicians, and aircraft maintenance crew.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of experience in aircraft electrical systems installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
· Helicopter experience is a plus.
· Knowledge of avionics systems such as NAV/COM, Autopilot, GPS, and RVSM.
· Ability to interpret schematics/blueprints.
· Experience with other aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls.
· Strong working knowledge of advanced electronics and systems diagnostics.
· Excellent attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and communication abilities.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Certifications in electrical or aviation maintenance courses are preferred.
PHYSICAL & COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check and FAA DOT drug test.
· Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
· Valid and currentUS Driver’s License.
PAY & SCHEDULE
· Hourly based off of experience and interview.
· Split per diem is available to those who qualify
· Paid weekly after the first week of work
· OT is time and ½
· Monday – Friday
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
