Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transportation and Facilities Manager to oversee and manage our transportation operations and fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of product as well as managing a team of drivers. This candidate will also be responsible for the daytime management of the warehouse.
Duties
- Manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain vehicle fleet by overseeing maintenance schedules and repairs.
- Supervise and execute daily warehouse activities while working to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee receiving of warehouse supplies and products as well as the storage and distribution of these items within the warehouse and keeping an accurate inventory.
- Utilize electric forklift, hand trucks or pallet jack to receive above deliveries if necessary.
- Establish and maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse environment.
- Maintain a log of all repairs needed within the warehouse and coordinate service calls if necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Transportation Manager or similar role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency computer skills. i.e. All programs within Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions to resolve issues efficiently.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving history.
-* Must be available to work 6 days per week. Monday - Saturday. 4am - 2pm*
- Must be able to withstand working in a cold refrigerated warehouse environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
