VP Aviation is hiring Aircraft Mechanics (APG) to support aircraft maintenance, modification, production, and sustainment programs in Greenville, South Carolina.
This is a contract opportunity for aircraft mechanics looking to support flightline, depot, production, and maintenance operations on military aircraft programs. Work may include inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, operational checkouts, launch and recovery activities, and general aircraft maintenance. Weekly pay ranges from $1,360 to $1,520 at 40 hours, not including overtime.
Assignments may include military fighter aircraft, such as F-16 or transport aircraft such as C-130, and other aircraft platforms depending on current program needs. Opportunities may be available on 1st or 2nd shift based on program requirements.

APG Mechanic Job Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Mechanic (APG), you may support:
- Launch and recovery operations
- Pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections
- Operational checkouts and functional testing
- General troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of aircraft systems
- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance
- Engine runs and system checks as required
- Aircraft movement and ground handling operations
- Fueling and defueling operations as required
- Removal and installation of panels, components, and hardware for maintenance access
- Maintenance documentation and safety compliance

Aircraft Mechanic (APG) Requirements
To be considered for this Aircraft Mechanic (APG) job in Greenville, SC, preferred qualifications include:
Previous experience on F-16, C-130, or other military aircraft is preferred, but not required for all assignments.
- 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Flightline, sustainment, depot, production, or modification experience preferred
- Experience performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational checkouts
- Knowledge of aircraft systems including landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, powerplants, and fuel systems
- Military aircraft experience is preferred, including fighter or transport aircraft
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, technical data, and engineering documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements
