Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator at Alaska Remote Imaging (ARI) is responsible for coordinating all travel-related logistics for the organization. This role oversees transportation, accommodations, and itineraries for team members to ensure efficient, seamless travel operations under the guidance of the Operations Manager and in support of field operations. The position regularly coordinates travel to remote Alaska communities where transportation schedules, weather conditions, and lodging availability can change rapidly, requiring flexibility, proactive planning, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and coordinate travel arrangements for team members, including flights, lodging, rental vehicles, and ground transportation.
· Manage complex travel schedules and itineraries for multiple individuals while accommodating operational needs and traveler preferences.
· Monitor travel budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effective travel solutions.
· Track and report real-time travel changes, delays, and updates to leadership and relevant personnel.
· Communicate travel itineraries, confirmations, and schedule updates clearly and promptly.
· Handle last-minute travel changes, cancellations, and disruptions with professionalism and urgency.
· Collaborate with airlines, hotels, and vendors to secure bookings and resolve travel-related issues.
· Manage and maintain the organization's travel database, including employee travel profiles, community-specific transportation details, lodging information, carrier schedules, and other logistical requirements for travel throughout Alaska.
· Assist employees with travel-related paperwork, receipts, and expense reporting
· Research logistics options and develop travel and logistics quotes for project pricing and operational planning.
· Support operational teams by proactively identifying efficiencies and improving travel coordination processes.

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting travel or logistics for remote operations, field crews, aviation, construction, engineering, surveying, or similar industries preferred.
· Familiarity with travel booking systems, expense tracking, and Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Work Schedule & Environment
· Part-time 25-30 hours per week
· Occasional after-hours support
· Office-based with potential hybrid eligibility
· Fast-paced environment supporting field operations throughout Alaska
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Compensation & Benefits
· $25.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
