Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrical)
Location: Whiteman AFB, MO
Clearance Required: Secret
Pay: $39.58/hr + $5.55/hr Health & Welfare (H&W)
Overview
We are hiring an Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrical) to support a U.S. Air Force program at Whiteman AFB. This role involves hands-on electrical work performing modifications, wiring installs, and system upgrades on munitions trailers (MHU-196 and MHU-204) in a structured, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wiring, harness routing, and connector installation/removal
- Execute electrical system modifications following technical orders (TOs)
- Troubleshoot and isolate electrical system issues
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Conduct continuity checks and operational testing
- Support disassembly and reassembly of components
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation
- Follow safety, quality, and tool control procedures
Requirements
- 4+ years of aircraft electrical/avionics experience (or similar)
- 2+ years hands-on electrical work (wiring, connectors, installs)
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and test equipment
- Ability to work in a team-based, production environment
- Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain/maintain)
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Details
- Base: June 2026 – May 2027
- Option: Through September 2027 + potential extension
