Role Description The Saab SF-340 Full Flight Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, simulator-based training to Saab SF-340 flight crews, including initial, recurrent, and proficiency training in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom and full flight simulator sessions, evaluating trainee performance, and providing constructive feedback to ensure safe and effective operations. The instructor will also maintain accurate training records, stay current with Saab SF-340 systems, procedures, and flight safety practices, and collaborate with training management to continually improve course content and instructional methods.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Aviation and Flight Safety, with a focus on airline operations and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in Piloting and Commercial Piloting skills, ideally with Saab SF-340 or comparable turboprop experience.
- Valid Instrument Rating and demonstrated competence in instrument flight procedures.
- Previous experience as a flight instructor or check airman, preferably in a full flight simulator environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Saab SF-340 aircraft systems, normal and emergency procedures, and performance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills, with the ability to support diverse learners.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and ability to follow and teach standard operating procedures.
- Commercial Pilot License; Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and prior Part 121 or equivalent experience are highly beneficial.
