Overview
Direct2 is hiring a Director of Flight Coordination to keep owner and charter aircraft moving safely, on time, and well supported. You will own day-to-day aircraft and crew scheduling, crew travel, aircraft readiness (cleaning and stocking), and oversight of international trips — and coordinating across pilots, maintenance, vendors, and clients so every trip launches.
This role sits at the center of flight operations and manages multiple flight coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the flight coordination team to ensure seamless scheduling and dispatching of flights in accordance with FAR Part 135 regulation and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain clear internal communication channels to coordinate between pilots, flight coordinators, chief pilot - director of maintenance - director of operations, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor flight operations in real-time to address any issues promptly, ensuring safety protocols are followed and customer service standards are met or exceeded.
- Utilize scheduling software to optimize aircraft utilization, crew scheduling, and maintenance planning while managing time effectively under tight deadlines.
- Conduct analysis of operational data to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in flight operations management or dispatching within a commercial aviation environment.
- Excellent internal communication skills to liaise effectively across departments and teams.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with the ability to handle complex situations professionally.
- Demonstrated ability in time management, prioritization, and problem-solving under pressure.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
