TERMINAL SUPERVISOR

Aero Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a motivated, hands-on Terminal Supervisor to support our Terminal Manager in overseeing daily pool distribution operations. AGL specializes in pool distribution, final-mile delivery, automotive logistics, and dedicated transportation services for nationally recognized customers.
Position Overview
The Terminal Supervisor assists with coordinating daily terminal operations to ensure freight is processed efficiently, routes are dispatched successfully, and customer service expectations are consistently met. This hands-on leadership role requires significant time on the warehouse floor, leading by example and helping develop drivers and warehouse personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the Terminal Manager with daily terminal operations.
· Supervise warehouse associates and delivery drivers during assigned shifts.
· Assist with receiving, sorting, staging, and dispatching freight.
· Coordinate daily delivery routes and driver assignments.
· Monitor on-time departures and delivery performance.
· Identify and resolve operational issues quickly; escalate when appropriate.
· Coach employees on safety, productivity, and company procedures.
· Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and AGL safety policies.
· Assist with employee onboarding and ongoing training.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe terminal environment.
· Monitor freight accuracy and help minimize damages and service failures.
· Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and internal departments.
· Assist in achieving terminal performance and customer service goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Associate's degree or transportation/logistics education is a plus.
· 2+ years of experience in transportation, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations.
· 2+ years of warehouse supervisor experience preferred.
· Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
· Pool distribution, LTL, courier, final-mile, or delivery operations experience is a plus.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
· Transportation or warehouse management system experience preferred.
