Job Title: Laundry Attendant – Cinnamon Shore (Flour Bluff Facility)
Reports To: FBO Back of House Manager
Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for supporting daily laundry operations at the Cinnamon Shore Flour Bluff Facility. This position ensures that all linens are properly washed, dried, folded, inspected, and organized according to company quality standards. The Laundry Attendant plays an essential role in supporting housekeeping, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to overall guest and owner satisfaction.
Key Functions:
Linen Handling & Folding:
- Fold linens according to Cinnamon Shore’s established standards for each linen type.
- Ensure all folded linens meet quality and presentation expectations before shelving or packaging.
- Identify linens that do not meet quality standards and separate them for rewash, stain treatment, or disposal.
Laundry Processing:
- Safely and efficiently load, operate, and unload industrial washers and dryers.
- Sort linens by type, size, color, and soil level prior to washing.
- Apply correct wash formulas and machine settings for each linen category.
- Monitor equipment during operation and report performance issues or malfunctions immediately.
Quality Control:
- Inspect all linens for stains, tears, discoloration, or wear.
- Ensure only high-quality items are placed back into inventory.
- Follow sanitation and hygiene procedures throughout the laundry process.
Inventory Management & Organization:
- Maintain organized storage of clean linens by category and quantity.
- Assist with tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages, damages, or irregularities.
- Rotate stock to promote even usage and extend linen lifespan.
Facility Maintenance & Safety:
- Keep all laundry work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety policies, including chemical handling and equipment operation guidelines.
- Dispose of lint, trash, and unusable linens following facility procedures.
Team Support:
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding workload, issues, or operational needs.
- Uphold Cinnamon Shore’s service and teamwork standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in folding and sorting.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Materials and Equipment Used:
- Industrial washers and dryers
- Laundry carts and shelving
- Cleaning chemicals (used in accordance with safety guidelines)
- Basic housekeeping tools and equipment
Working Environment:
- The position is located at the Cinnamon Shore Laundry Facility in Flour Bluff.
- The work environment includes exposure to heat, humidity, industrial laundry equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.45 per hour
