Role Description
This is a contract role for a Lead Flight Instructor located on-site in Spartanburg, SC. The Lead Flight Instructor will oversee flight training operations, mentor and guide student pilots, and ensure compliance with flight safety standards and regulations.
The Lead Flight Instructor helps guide flight and ground training for our FAA Part 61 program and supports both students and instructors. You will teach, mentor, and help keep training organized and safe. This role focuses on helping students progress, supporting other instructors, and working with the team to keep daily training running smoothly. It’s a hands-on position for someone who enjoys teaching, leadership, and being part of a supportive training environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), CFII preferred
- Strong experience in instrument and commercial flight operations
- Solid knowledge of flight safety standards and aviation practices
- Skilled in teaching, mentoring, and communication
- Experience with training curricula, instructional materials, and student evaluation
- Able to work effectively in an on-site team environment

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
