The Ground Crew member provides essential manual support for banner towing flight operations. This is a high-tempo, outdoor position requiring physical stamina, precision, and a "safety-first" mindset. You will be responsible for the assembly, layout, and recovery of aerial banners to ensure seamless transitions between flights.
Core Responsibilities
- Banner Assembly: Assemble alphanumeric characters and graphics into custom banner messages; ensure all connections and lead poles are secured per standards.
- Launch Operations: Layout banners on the designated pick-up area.
- Recovery Operations: Monitor arriving aircraft and safely recover dropped banners; disassemble and organize gear for subsequent flights.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect tow lines, grappling hooks, and banner material for wear and tear.
- Logistics: Assist in the staging and loading of equipment for daily operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, sprint short distances (as required during layout), and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Weather Resilience: Comfortable working outdoors in high heat or cold, wind, and direct sunlight.
- Dependability: Must be able to be reliable and show for scheduled shifts.
- Background: Must pass a standard background check and have reliable transportation to work.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
