Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager to lead and optimize our daily business functions in the aviation industry. We build custom back country recreational aircraft, as well as provide LS performance engines for a number of aircraft applications. In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence and efficiency, oversee business development initiatives, and ensure the seamless execution of projects across departments. Your leadership will inspire teams, foster process improvements, and contribute to the growth and profitability of the organization. Duties
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and work directly with owner to define and support business growth objectives
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production team members to achieve high performance standards while fostering a positive work environment
- Ensuring financial targets are met through effective cost control and revenue generation strategies
- Manage business development efforts by identifying new market opportunities and building strong client and vendor relationships
- Coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards
- Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and implementing innovative solutions to increase productivity
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly to assess operational health and identify areas for enhancement
Experience
- Proven management experience with a strong track record of leading teams in a highly detailed and product safety oriented environment
- Extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, and business development
- Demonstrated success in supervising teams, and executing process improvements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Hands-on experience in sales activities and client relationship management is highly desirable
- Knowledge of operational best practices, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines
- Demonstration anticipatory thinking skills to assure all products and supplies are available as required for each project in the production que.
