Job Description: The New World Screwworm (NWS) Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) Logistician role exists to support the Texas Screwworm Eradication (TSE) SIT Base Manager in developing and maintaining inventory, tracking parts and maintenance at the Edinburg, TX base.
Location: Texas
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain parts inventory and stock levels
- Order parts as requested from company headquarters
- Communicate critical information to company headquarters and establish relationships with other service providers
- Provide receipts to corporate accounting every week
- Properly stock/shelve aircraft parts in a warehouse environment
- Perform monthly inventory counts per established company procedures
- Properly label, package, and box aircraft parts for inventory
- Report parts consumption within designated timeframe
- Track all parts movements to and from company headquarters
- Keep and maintain designated logistics area neat, clean, and orderly
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid US Passport
- Good teamwork, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Computer skills including email and submission of detailed inventory reports
- Highly resourceful
- Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
- Relocation to Edinburg, TX is required
