Starting Pay Range: $72,100.00 - $85,000.00, commensurate with experience

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic partner to management and employees, responsible for the daily oversight of recruitment and onboarding, performance, talent management, training, development and system support. This role involves leading HR initiatives, mentoring junior HR staff, and driving programs that enhance employee engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness. This position supervises the Human Resources Coordinator and Talent Acquisition Analyst.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Supervises the daily recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management activities and oversees the daily schedule, assignments and workflow of personnel in this group.
- Supervises all full-cycle recruitment and collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Supervises onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new employees and serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinates employee training programs and professional development initiatives.
- Assists in reviewing, updating and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Trains managers and employees on policy changes and compliance requirements.
- Analyzes HR metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Prepares reports for senior leadership on workforce performance and engagement.
- Ensures accurate employee records in HRIS.
- Prepares and submits compliance reports, to include but not limited to Affirmative Action Plan spreadsheets and VETS-4212.
- Handles HRIS employment-related inquiries, requests and concerns from employees. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Mentors junior HR team members and provide guidance on complex HR matters.
- Leads HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned and directed.
- Adheres to all the Authority’s personnel policies and departmental guidelines.

- Project Management: Capable of leading HR projects, managing timelines, and delivering results effectively.
- Ethical Judgment & Confidentiality: Maintains integrity and discretion in all HR matters.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Change Management: Ability to support and guide organizational change initiatives.
- Coaching & Development: Skilled in mentoring managers and junior HR staff to enhance performance and growth.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) + years of progressive HR experience, including generalist responsibilities.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Human Resources certification required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.
