Position Overview
Symbrant Aviation Services is seeking a highly disciplined, operationally elite Station Manager to lead all maintenance, safety, staffing, and performance outcomes for a major airport operation.
This role serves as the senior on-site authority for Symbrant Aviation, accountable for 24/7 operational continuity, regulatory compliance, financial discipline, and client satisfaction across mission-critical airport systems. The Station Manager must be an exceptional leader who combines technical credibility with strong people management, data-driven decision-making, and proactive communication.
This is not a passive or administrative role. The Station Manager is expected to own the station, set the operational tone, enforce standards, and drive measurable performance improvements.

Position Summary
The Station Manager is fully accountable for station performance and serves as the primary liaison between Symbrant Aviation, airline partners, airport authorities, and internal leadership.
This role directly manages Supervisors and indirectly oversees all Technicians assigned to the station. The Station Manager is responsible for:
- Safety and regulatory compliance
- System reliability and preventive maintenance execution
- Labor management and staffing coverage
- CMMS accuracy and operational reporting
- Inventory discipline and materials spend
- Client communication and issue resolution
The Station Manager must ensure that Supervisors are held to consistent standards, that data is accurate and timely, and that no operational issues escalate due to lack of oversight or communication.
Core Responsibilities
Operational LeadershipAccountability
- Serve as the senior on-site leader, fully accountable for all station operations across all shifts.
- Set clear performance expectations for Supervisors and Technicians and enforce accountability consistently.
- Conduct regular leadership touchpoints with Supervisors to review performance, staffing, safety, and open risks.
- Ensure seamless 24/7 coverage through proper scheduling, handoffs, and escalation protocols.
Safety, ComplianceRisk Management
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, airport authority, airline, and company safety standards.
- Lead safety meetings, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure all employees maintain required certifications, training, and airport credentials (SIDA).
- Proactively identify safety risks and operational vulnerabilities before incidents occur.
Maintenance ExecutionAsset Reliability
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for BHS, PBB, PCA, and GPU systems.
- Ensure maintenance strategies prioritize uptime, asset longevity, and reduced emergency response.
- Validate that root-cause analyses are performed for recurring failures and corrective actions are implemented.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues requiring coordination with vendors or engineering support.
CMMS, Data IntegrityReporting
- Own CMMS discipline and accuracy (UpKeep or equivalent), ensuring:
- Work orders are created, documented, and closed properly
- Labor, parts, and downtime data are accurate and auditable
- Review daily and weekly reports for trends in downtime, response times, and recurring faults.
- Provide concise, professional operational updates to Regional Leadership.
Inventory, ProcurementCost Control
- Maintain strict oversight of parts usage, inventory levels, and procurement processes.
- Partner with Inventory/Procurement to ensure correct parts are ordered, received, and staged.
- Monitor materials spend against monthly client budgets and investigate variances.
- Prevent reactive purchasing through proper planning and forecasting.
People ManagementPerformance Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop Supervisors and Technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and corrective action when required.
- Address attendance, conduct, and performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Build a culture of ownership, communication, and professionalism across the station.
ClientStakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for airline partners, airport authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate operational issues proactively - not reactively.
- Represent Symbrant Aviation with professionalism, credibility, and confidence at all times.
- Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded through transparency and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience in aviation, industrial maintenance, facilities operations, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Proven experience managing multi-shift, 24/7 operations.
- Strong working knowledge of BHS, PBB, PCA, and GPU systems (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders (Supervisors), not just individual contributors.
- Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing KPIs, maintenance data, and cost controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in CMMS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance (SIDA).
- OSHA 30 Certification (required or obtained within 60 days).
- Valid driver's license.
