Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will support production teams by improving processes, resolving hardware issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role plays a vital part in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput across cable, harness, and electromechanical assembly operations.
Position Responsibilities
- Modify manufacturing processes and procedures as needed
- Review defective hardware and provide corrective instructions
- Support production assemblers through interpretation of work instructions
- Integrate inspection and test requirements into production plans as applicable
- Evaluate tool and process performance, recommend improvements, and resolve deficiencies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize design concepts and specifications for manufacturability
- Ensure all processes and procedures follow applicable regulations
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve flow, reduce cycle time, and decrease hours per unit
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Experience with cable and harness manufacturing
- Experience with electromechanical assembly manufacturing
- Familiarity with J‑STD, IPC‑610, and IPC‑620 (certifications not required)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience with Windchill PLM, SAP ERP, and Apriso software systems
Required Education
- Accredited High School Diploma or GED
