Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized FBO Operations Manager to lead and oversee all facets of Fixed Base Operations (FBO) at busy resort area aviation facility. In this pivotal role, you will manage daily operations, ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service to our clientele. Your leadership will drive aircraft scheduling, efficiency, safety, and excellence across all operational activities, fostering a dynamic environment where safety and service go hand-in-hand. Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily FBO operations, including aircraft handling, fueling, GSE management and customer service activities
- Supervise a team of Line Service technicians, customer service agents , and support personnel to ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism
- Oversee compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), airport policies, and safety protocols to maintain operational integrity
- Manage logistics related to aircraft movements, ground support equipment (GSE) , and inventory control.
- Facilitate communication between pilots, clients, vendors, and internal departments to streamline service delivery
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure maintenance standards are met and safety hazards are addressed promptly
- Oversee training programs for staff on aviation safety procedures, customer service excellence, and technical skills such Line support services.
- Maintain detailed records of operations, incidents, maintenance logs, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Foster a culture of leadership by motivating staff through clear expectations, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
Skills
- Proven management experience in aviation or related logistics environments with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft ground procedures and service technician practices.
- Able to communicate effectively with diverse clients and teams members.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in aircraft services or GSE operations.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing airport operations and aircraft handling
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times
- Experience with logistics planning to meet the aircraft departure schedules.
- Basic math skills for inventory management, scheduling calculations, and operational reporting
- Customer service orientation focused on delivering an exceptional experience for all clients visiting the FBO facility
