About the Role
As Chief Pilot, you’ll be a key member of our leadership team, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. You’ll oversee flight operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our pilot team through training, mentorship, and operational excellence. This is an ideal position for a pilot who values both leadership responsibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support all flight crew members in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and operational standards.
- Assist the Director of Operations in maintaining and updating Ground and Flight Training Programs for pilots, instructors, and operations personnel.
- Coordinate and schedule pilot training events, proficiency checks, and recurrent training in accordance with Part 135 requirements.
- Maintain pilot records, flight schedules, and operational documentation.
- Oversee pilot scheduling and ensure adequate staffing for all flights and training events.
- Maintain and distribute updated checklists, forms, and operational procedures.
- Provide operational control over flights when delegated by the Director of Operations.
- Serve as a mentor and leader to flight crew, promoting professionalism, safety, and teamwork.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a minimum of 100 PIC hours in a King Air 200(make and model specific)
- All candidates must meet the ICAO requirements for single-pilot international commercial flights
- Minimum of 3 years of Part 135 or Part 121 PIC line experience within the past 6 years, or prior experience as a Chief Pilot or Director of Operations
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with ATP Written complete (ATP preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and General Operations Manual (GOM) requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Schedule
This position is typically three days per week, combining flight and office duties. Weekend and availability is required, as flights operate weekends and most weekdays. Additional bonus pay available for additional flights days.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
