IDD Aerospace specializes in developing and producing custom light plates, control panel assemblies, integrated switch panels, keyboard assemblies, bezels, and other flight deck interface components.
Our primary customers include the major OEMs including; BAE, Boeing, COMAC, Embraer, Gulfstream, Honeywell, SpaceX, and Sikorsky to name a few. IDD Aerospace has two locations, one in Redmond, WA and one in Chihuahua, Mexico.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both talent acquisition and the broader scope of human resources work. The position will be split 50% recruiting and 50% HR projects, including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and supporting employee engagement initiatives.
The recruiting aspect will manage the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and hire top talent across skilled manufacturing, engineering, and support roles. This requires an individual with strong sourcing abilities, industry knowledge, and a passion for building relationships with candidates, hiring managers and fellow employees.
You will be a key partner in ensuring a positive employee experience and maintaining a strong organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (50%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure an excellent candidate experience.
- Track and report recruitment metrics to support data-driven decisions.
- Represent the company at job fairs, networking events, and other talent acquisition opportunities.
HR Operations & Projects (50%)
- Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding sessions, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Assist in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within the HRIS system.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Participate in employee engagement programs, training initiatives, and performance management processes.
Special Projects:
· Maintain and update the Employee Handbook to ensure compliance and alignment with company culture.
· Assist with policy development and process improvement initiatives.
· Contribute to DEI, culture, and engagement programs.
· Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including hands-on recruiting responsibilities, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and recruiting strategies.
- Experience with HRIS systems and ATS platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education / Experience:
- · Bachelor's degree in human resources management or in the absence of a degree 3 + years of related experience
- Previous experience working onsite in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Physical Requirements:
· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Accountability
This position is under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by Title 22 of Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
