General Summary
Our Accountant I is responsible for payroll, AP support, and verifying, reporting, and completing other general accounting duties, as assigned. This position works closely with the Controller and Accountant II daily.
Payroll:
· Prepares and submits weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payroll on schedule
· Manages payroll taxes as needed for all existing states. Responsible for implementing new states and for providing support to payroll provider for information and reporting
· Completes 401k financial report and payment to bank
· Performs audits on time sheets and expense report submissions
· Responsible for providing accurate payroll reports as requested by management
Accounting:
· Assist with monthly financial statement preparation
· Assist with AP
· Monitor and reconcile billing software to accounting software sync
· Monitor and report on all freight accounts (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
· Complete monthly credit card reconciliation
· Input wire transfers
· Review and update daily log sheet data
· Maintain daily flight logs (billing and flight hours)
· Maintain contract billing spreadsheet
· Other accounting projects and duties, as assigned
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of high school diploma
· 3-5 years related accounting and payroll experience
· Ability to evaluate information
· Data entry proficiency
· Outstanding skills in giving attention to detail
· Familiarity of reporting tools and financial software
· Knowledge of payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

Working Conditions:
· Primarily an office environment
· Occasional driving may be required
Additional Requirements:
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, E-Verify, and TSA background check
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
