Job Summary
ALL-ISR seeks an experienced Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Operator to execute tactical ISR, reconnaissance, and multi-mission operations using Group 2-5 platforms. The role combines the duties of Air Vehicle Operator (AVO), sensor operator, operator-level maintenance, mission commander, and UAS liaison. You will support the U.S. Department of Defense and other U.S. government entities in potentially austere land- and maritime-based environments.
This position is dependent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) / Air Vehicle Operator for Group 2-5 UAS missions (VLOS/BVLOS/BLOS).
- Conduct full mission cycles, including planning, briefing, execution, debriefing, and data dissemination.
- Perform launch and recovery operations, including runway, Launch and Recovery Equipment (LRE) such as pneumatic catapult, SkyHook retrieval, net recovery, and VTOL/hands-free shipboard and land operations.
- Operate advanced payloads, including EO/IR, SAR, SIGINT, comms relay, and laser targeting.
- Execute pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, and perform operator-level troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Maintain flight logs, equipment inventories, and safety documentation.
- Support austere/forward deployments and coordinate with military customers, ATC, and range personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Active US DoD secret security clearance (TS/SCI eligibility is a plus).
- Current FAA class II medical.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (current FAA Part 107 and manned private or commercial pilot certificate strongly preferred).
- 5+ years of professional tactical UAS operator experience (DoD/contractor).
- 1,500+ documented UAS flight hours on Group 2+ platforms.
- Demonstrated LRE experience including catapult, SkyHook, net, VTOL, runway takeoff, and landing.
- Ability to deploy CONUS/OCONUS on a 3-months-on / 3-months-off basis (or as required by the specific task order) and work in austere or extreme environments.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to pass customer-mandated medical and dental pre-deployment exams.
- Physical ability to lift/carry 50 lbs, work in small/cramped spaces, ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and ramps while carrying up to 50 lbs, stand and walk without rest for at least two hours, and perform duties outside in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- FAA Private or Commercial Pilot Certificate (fixed-wing or rotary-wing).
- Prior qualification or experience on multiple group 2-5 systems.
- Dual-qualified operator / maintainer experience.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Prior experience in a Site Lead or Crew Chief role on tactical UAS programs.
- Prior experience in a Mission Commander or customer liaison role on UAS programs.
- Spanish language proficiency (strongly preferred for missions in Spanish-speaking regions; not required for all positions).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $100,000-$170,000.
- 3-months-on / 3-months-off rotation (contract dependent).
