Position Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material planning, procurement, inventory management, and compliance with FAA Part 145 Repair Station regulations. This role ensures that all parts, components, and materials are available, traceable, and handled per regulatory and organizational standards to support maintenance operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all materials-related functions to support MRO operations, including procurement, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations (including 14 CFR Part 145), OEM requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s ERP/MRO software system.
- Develop and maintain processes for traceability, shelf life, quarantine, and segregation of aircraft parts and materials.
- Oversee the certification and documentation of incoming aircraft parts (8130-3, C of C, etc.).
- Coordinate material needs with Maintenance Planning and Production to ensure timely availability of parts.
- Manage parts requisitions, purchase orders, repair orders, and exchanges.
- Ensure proper storage, security, and environmental conditions for inventory.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and lead annual physical inventory audits.
- Monitor supplier performance and support vendor selection and evaluation.
- Support internal and external audits (FAA, AS9110, customer audits, etc.).
Preferred Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of experience in materials, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Solid knowledge of FAA regulations, especially 14 CFR Part 145 and applicable airworthiness documentation (8130-3, C of C, etc.).
- Familiarity with aircraft parts (rotables, expendables, consumables)
- Experience working with MRO or ERP software systems (e.g., Quantum, AMOS, Corridor).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of aircraft parts, rotables, consumables, and tooling.
- Familiarity with MRO software (Quantum, AMOS, Corridor, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Detail-oriented with strong compliance mindset.

- Standing, walking, and bending in warehouse environments.
