Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic III (Hydraulic Team Lead OR Avionics/Electrical) to support depot-level maintenance and modification efforts on MHU-196 and MHU-204 heavy munitions trailers under USAF Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs). This role supports operational readiness across multiple Air Force bases and TDY locations.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance teams on scheduled/unscheduled repairs
Perform and oversee hydraulic hose replacement, system bleeding, and operational checks
Execute TCTOs (TO 35D3-29-3-517/522/521/523)
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues
Conduct inspections and operational testing
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
Ensure compliance with maintenance documentation and safety standards
Support tool control and hazmat procedures

Avionics/Electrical Qualifications

6+ years aircraft avionics/electrical maintenance experience
1+ year lead experience
Military aircraft or support equipment experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting and systems diagnostics skills
Ability to read/interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data
Experience with connector assembly/disassembly and electrical systems
Normal color vision required (AFI 48-123)

Primary duty location will be specified at time of hire.

Travel may be required to:

Dyess AFB, TX
Edwards AFB, CA
Ellsworth AFB, SD
Sheppard AFB, TX

Tools and equipment are provided
Work performed in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders and maintenance standards
Requires the ability to obtain a CAC

Pay: $41.33 - $46.88 per hour
