Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Senior Avionics/Network Engineer to be a key contributor in producing world-class mission applications supporting the Naval Operational Architecture. The right engineer is delivery-focused, demonstrates strong leadership potential, and is passionate about designing and developing resilient communication solutions for aviation platforms.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Required Experience:
- 10 years in network engineering, satellite communications, or a related field.
- At least 6+ years of experience as a systems engineer, with a focus on avionics or network integration.
- Experience with Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems, including LEO, MEO, and GEO constellations.
- Experience with the integration of communication systems on military platforms, preferably with Navy and Marine Corps aviation platforms.
- Expertise in network encryption methods and technologies to ensure secure data transmission.
- Experience with Point of Presence (POP) considerations and integration into government and DoD networks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Experience with RF systems, link budget analysis, and network simulation tools.
- Familiarity with DoD C2, ISR, or combat systems, with a preference for experience with the US Navy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with individuals from diverse technical backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to various audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Security+ or other relevant cybersecurity certification.
- Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Network Architect.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-based architectures and micro-services.
- Experience with specific Navy and Marine Corps aircraft platforms (e.g., H-60, P-8, E-2D, MV-22, CH-53K, KC-130J).
- Knowledge of military communication standards such as MIL-STD-1553.

Pay: $108,989.52 - $163,567.85 per year
