Position: Director of Maintenance
The Director of Maintenance plays a key role in ensuring that customers’ aircraft remain in peak condition while following strict regulatory standards
. This position oversees Maintenance Technicians, Parts Department and Avionics Department, while ensuring adherence to FAA regulations and company policies.
As a key member of the leadership team, this role is responsible for ensuring SAFE and timely completion of all work on customers’ aircraft.
What are some expectations of this role?
- Anticipate parts and labor needs on incoming customers’ aircraft.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and professional development of maintenance personnel.
- Identify and manage vendor relationships to support both maintenance and facility operations.
- Assist in maintaining and updating operational documentation, including the FAA Operations, Specifications and Repair Station Manual, ensuring all changes are clearly communicated to and adhered by the team.
- Conduct inspections to evaluate equipment and manuals for compliance. Participate in audits conducted by regulatory authorities, customers, and third-party organizations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and customers and the company and maintenance technicians.
- Perform additional tasks assigned, supporting the overall objectives of the maintenance department and the company.
What are the qualifications of this role?
- Experience: o 10-15 years of aviation maintenance experience, with 5-7 years in a management or supervisory role preferred.
- Certifications: o FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
- Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Management, or a related field, or 7-10 years of equivalent experience.
o Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and aviation safety standards.
o Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
