Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety and DOT/FMCSA compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. a strong background in DOT/FMCSA regulations, drivers' hour of service, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate safety policies and procedures at all levels.

This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards (OSHA), safety regulations, and best practices in environmental health and safety (EHS). The Safety Manager will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor drivers’ compliance with DOT regulations; including hours of service, vehicle inspections, vehicle maintenance, and all FMCSA commercial motor vehicle operating standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents and accidents, providing actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training on first aid, CPR, and other safety-related topics to employees.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and assist in managing claims effectively.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to senior management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS-related inquiries.
Experience
- A strong background in DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and environmental health standards.
- Experience with occupational health practices and EHS compliance is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or related fields is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence others effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting root cause analysis.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
