About this Role:
We are seeking a Part-Time Pilot Training Instructor based in the Orlando area to support our pilot training program. This role is responsible for Initial and Recurrent Company indoctrination training to Northern Jet pilots, ensuring compliance, standardization, and operational excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned pilot who enjoys mentoring, teaching, and contributing to a high-performing flight department while maintaining schedule flexibility.

Schedule: Part-Time position with flexibility in scheduling – maximum of 30 hours per week.

This is a unique opportunity for a Pilot Training Instructor who is passionate about mentorship, standardization, and developing the next generation of pilots within a growing aviation operation. This role offers exceptional flexibility, allowing the instructor to create a schedule that fits their lifestyle and choose their level of involvement across multiple areas of training and pilot development. Responsibilities may include supporting initial indoc training, recurrent training events, simulator evaluations for pilot candidates, and assisting with interview and assessment processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Must reside in or near Orlando, FL
- Minimum 5+ years of professional pilot experience flying under Part 91 and/or Part 135
- Part 135 operational experience required
- Prior experience as a training instructor, check airman, or mentor pilot preferred
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional best practices required
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, company training standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism with a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of professional pilot experience flying under Part 91 and/or Part 135
- Part 135 operational experience required
- Prior experience supporting pilot training, standardization, compliance, or safety programs preferred
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, training requirements, and compliance standards
