ATR 42/72 Maintenance Technician
Reports to
1. Maintenance Supervisor when performing Technician duties.
2. DQC when performing the duties of an RII Inspector.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must possess Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
- Ability to understand Company and FAA policies, procedures, and regulations.
Experience
- Extensive experience on ATR 42/72 aircraft, including line maintenance and system troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of ATR maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Proven ability to work effectively with operators as a thirdparty maintenance provider.
- Experience providing instruction and technical guidance on ATR aircraft.
- Saab 2000 experience is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
These shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working in close coordination with the Quality Control Department during the performance of these duties.
- Cleaning their assigned work area, shop, or ramp, to ensure that it is kept clean and free of hazards.
- Performing all aviation maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the highest shop practices, and in the interest of safety of flight.
- When authorized, performing receiving inspections of parts and accessories ensuring materials received are inspected to the extent necessary to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Specifications.
- Familiarization with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies.
- Documenting all required maintenance in accordance with this manual.
- Assisting in the planning, directing, laying out and coordinating activities of theirs and other areas to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
- Handling of parts while repair is in progress, which includes the proper tagging and disposition of these components.
- Assisting with initiating Material Requests for stock and/or material as required.
- Keeping tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition at all times and when using calibrated equipment, ensuring the calibration date has not expired.
- Using personal protection (safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, gloves, etc.) as necessary while conducting daily duties.
- Submitting in writing any recommended changes in operational procedures that will enhance safe, costeffective aircraft maintenance.
- Completion of all department internal Company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
