Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise, often involving heavy lifting and careful handling of products.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and addressing any delivery concerns.
- Use organizational skills to verify delivery accuracy, complete paperwork, and maintain detailed logs of deliveries.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding route changes, delivery issues, or delays.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving with a valid driver’s license.
- Strong math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and delivery details accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
- Organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
