About your new role:
As Chief Pilot, you will lead a well-established long-running flight department. Prent Corporation operates two mid-size jet aircraft with a dedicated Director of Maintenance under Part 91. You will be responsible for the following:
- Report directly to the owner / Executive Chairman
- Collaborate with the Scheduler to determine trip logistics and assign crewing
- Oversee, conduct, and schedule various training requirements. (Annual Simulator, International Procedures, and in-house modules)
- Ensure company pilots are current per FAR’s to accept flight assignments and that pilot’s required documentation is up to date
- Maintain and update department manuals including:
- Flight Operations Manual
- International Operations & Procedures Manual
- Emergency Response Plan
- SAFA Inspection Manual
- Minimum Equipment List.
- Ensure aircraft manuals and checklists are up to date with latest revisions
- Conduct annual reviews and vacation management of direct reports
- Maintain existing FAA Letters of Authorization (LOA’s) and obtain new LOA’s as applicable.
- Be the FAA designated “Responsible Person” for the operation
- Manage the FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) on behalf of the operator and submit employment / training records as applicable.
- Be the FAA designated “Responsible Person” for the PRD
- Manage aircraft insurance and ensure that any contract pilots meet requirements
- Work with airport administration and maintenance as needed
- Oversee the acquisition and sale of aircraft
- Oversee all department financials to include:
- Annual budget
- Fuel programs
- Paying departmental bills
- Work with Director of Maintenance to control aircraft maintenance expenses
- Be knowledgeable in corporate aviation taxation issues, imputed income, depreciation, qualified business use, personal use, and records keeping.
- Be the flight department point of contact during an IRS audit.
- Approve expense reports
- Send monthly reporting to finance / accounting
- Fulfill the role of Captain or First Officer on company flights as necessary
- You must live within 90 minutes of Janesville, Wisconsin (KJVL) or be willing to relocate.
What you need:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- US Passport with unrestricted ability to travel internationally
- FCC License
- 6000 hours of Total Flight Time
- 3000 hours of Multi-Engine Flight Time
- 3000 hours of Jet Time
- No accidents, incidents, DUI’s, or FAA violations
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Part 91 Chief Pilot or Director of Operations
- CE-680 Type Rating
- 12-month sim current in Citation Latitude
- 50 hours in Cessna Citation Latitude
- BA/BS degree
