Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting avionics systems and related electrical components. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft and aviation equipment, supporting our mission to deliver top-tier communication and aviation services. Duties
- Diagnose and repair avionics systems using schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals
- Perform root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical failures to identify underlying issues
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines for accurate assessments
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on aircraft electrical systems in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and AS9100 standards
- Fabricate, assemble, or modify components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, sheet metal techniques, and soldering methods
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Support manufacturing processes by integrating avionics components into airframes or vehicle platforms with mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills
Requirements
- Proven experience working with avionics systems in aviation or military environments
- Strong electrical experience with schematics reading, soldering, wiring harnesses, and power tools operation
- Mechanical knowledge related to aircraft maintenance or vehicle repair including sheet metal fabrication and assembly techniques
- Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA or AutoCAD for designing or interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), AS9100 quality standards, and aviation safety protocols
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving welding, heavy lifting, use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills including root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical issues
- Ability to work safely in an environment requiring adherence to strict safety standards and regulations
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
