The Furniture House is seeking candidates for part- or full-time employment for our Interior Diesnger / Sales Assocate position. The Furniture House offer a competitive base hourly rate plus commissions. No weekly draw required!
Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Build genuine relationships with clients to inform, create and execute exception interior designs through sales and design services.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the product catalog, including materials, features, and design elements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new product releases to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Interior Design Consultation:
- Offer personalized interior design consultations to help customers visualize furniture placement and design concepts within their spaces.
- Create and present design concepts, including floor plans, color schemes, and furniture selections.
- Select and materials, finishes, and furnishings for each project.
Sales and Targets:
- Meet and exceed sales targets by effectively communicating the value of our products and services.
- Utilize strong product knowledge and design expertise to upsell and cross-sell complementary items.
Order Processing:
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
Visual Merchandising:
- Assist in maintaining an appealing and organized store layout.
- Contribute to visual merchandising efforts to showcase furniture in a visually compelling way.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in furniture sales or interior design is highly desirable, but not required. Paid training is provided.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for interior design and staying updated on industry trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Sales-driven and customer-focused mindset.
- Strong knowledge of retail math and the ability to calculate measurements, budgets, and pricing accurately.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends.
