Overview
A leading aerospace company is developing next-generation autonomous, all-electric aircraft aimed at transforming urban mobility. This team is tackling complex, high-impact challenges to enable safe, scalable autonomous flight.
They are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of Remote Supervision Systems for an autonomous passenger aircraft platform. This role sits within a core systems engineering team focused on designing, building, and integrating one-to-many supervision systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across system development (behavior, functional decomposition, architecture, interfaces, requirements)
- Define and manage system requirements, including traceability and validation
- Support system architecture development and interface definitions
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and integration
- Develop use cases and validation/testing strategies for autonomy technologies
- Create and manage interface control documentation (ICDs)
- Contribute technical guidance and support system integration efforts
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering + 5 years’ experience (or M.S. + 3 years)
- Experience applying systems engineering methods on complex, certified aerospace programs
- Strong background in requirements development, decomposition, and allocation
- Experience working with certification and systems safety teams
- Hands-on experience with system architecture and interface definition
- Familiarity with standards such as:
- ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, ARP4761, Part 23/25
- Experience with requirements tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Reqtify, etc.)
- Proficiency in MBSE (SysML) and tools such as Cameo
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Background
- Experience in autonomous systems, avionics, or safety-critical systems
- Exposure to system development, integration, manufacturing, or flight testing
