Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Deliver age-appropriate lessons tailored to the needs of toddlers and preschoolers, including activities that promote social skills, cognitive growth, and motor development.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns related to child welfare, and support early intervention initiatives when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable, and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering independence, curiosity, and positive social interactions among students.
- Support children with special education needs by implementing individualized strategies that promote inclusion and learning success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior Montessori or private school experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to child welfare and early intervention efforts.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in special education or literacy education is a plus.
