VP Aviation is hiring experienced Aircraft Avionics Technicians to support C-130 aircraft modification and modernization programs. This opportunity involves avionics installations, wiring modifications, flight deck upgrades, navigation systems, electrical troubleshooting, and aircraft systems integration on military aircraft.
Pay: Offering $1,800.00 at 40 hours not including overtime. For exact pay rates including overtime and per diem (if qualified) please apply and a VP Aviation recruiter will contact you directly.
Shift: First Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Technicians with experience on C-130, KC-135, B-52, and other military aircraft platforms are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics modifications and upgrades on C-130 aircraft
- Install flight deck instruments and avionics components
- Fabricate wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies
- Route, reroute, terminate, and secure aircraft wiring
- Install communication, navigation, surveillance, and safety systems
- Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical data
- Perform aircraft modifications in accordance with engineering requirements and technical documentation
- Complete operational checks and functional testing of installed systems
- Document work performed and support quality and compliance requirements
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft avionics experience
- Military aircraft experience preferred
- Experience supporting C-130 aircraft highly preferred
- Experience on KC-135, B-52, or similar military aircraft considered
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Experience with wiring harness fabrication and installation
- Ability to perform aircraft modifications in a production or maintenance environment
Preferred Experience
Candidates with military aircraft avionics experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
The following experience is highly desirable:
- C-130 avionics modification experience
- Military depot, modification, or sustainment program experience
- Knowledge of Technical Directives (TDs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs)
- Experience with flight deck, navigation, communication, and surveillance systems
