Stein’s Aircraft Services is a family-owned Southeastern Wisconsin business that provides exceptional service to corporate and private aircraft owners. Our current service offering includes pilot service, aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, aircraft refueling and hangaring, charter flights and flight school. We are currently looking for a high energy individual to join our outstanding team as Controller for our business, including our two locations (Kenosha and Waukesha). This enterprise-wide position will be based in our Kenosha operation, which is located approximately 30-minutes south of Milwaukee’s Mitchell Airport. Primary responsibilities include day-to-day accounting for all operations, and point person for human resources compliance. Summary – Basic Function of the Role
Generate and maintain our two general ledgers, including all customer billing, accounts payable, loans and leases, intercompany accounts, payroll compliance and other day-to-day accounting functions. Our Controller works closely supporting both our President and part-time CFO in this position recording and reporting financial results and ensuring compliance with governmental and banking stakeholders. Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Preparation of monthly customer invoices & subsequent collection
· Process cash receipts & cash disbursements (via check or electronic payments), including employee T&E reports
· Cash bank account and credit card statement reconciliations
· Record all accounting transactions in the Quick Book general ledgers
· Payroll processing, with related pretax compliance and employee benefit reporting. Submitting employee payroll withholdings including insurance premium deductions, 401k contributions, and health savings account withholdings to appropriate parties.
· Sales and excise tax compliance including months and quarterly payments and reporting.
· Monitoring cash receipts and disbursements, including charges and progress payments on company credit cards. Evaluating daily cash positions to determine if draws or repayments are required from revolving bank credit lines to ensure adequate operating liquidity.
· Monitor, hire, train, and schedule customer service staff.
· Oversee and monitor IT network and outsourced IT provider
. Assist the CFO in the preparation of internal & external quarterly financial statements
· On-board new employees – review company policies, benefit programs, attendance tracking, IT systems, etc. Answer employee questions and handle all third party compliance on employee benefit programs and other regulatory matters.

· Proven experience with Quick Books
· Strong working command of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
· Exceptional customer service skills and attitude
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, or alternatively an Associate’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of ten years of accounting and three years of controllership experience
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Our Controller works in a temperature controlled office setting, and is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. To operate effectively, the Controller will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce. May have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight.
