Alaska Air Transit (AAT) is hiring a certified aircraft mechanic to help maintain our aircraft fleet. We operate Cessna Caravan EX and Pilatus PC-12/47 aircraft. AAT is a is small, family owned air-taxi with six aircraft, just over 30 employees, and a modern hangar facility on Merrill Field in Anchorage.
As a Mechanic for Alaska Air Transit, you will:
- Keep Alaska Air Transit's Aircraft and components in a safe and airworthy condition.
- Perform necessary repairs, preventive maintenance, daily inspections, and 100HR inspections on aircraft.
- Maintain adequate general hand tools to properly perform duties
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, and repairs.
- Work in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manual, Alaska Air Transits policy and procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Repair or replace a wide variety of aircraft components, parts, and accessories.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be a US citizen or provide proof of right to work in the US
- Must already be located in Anchorage, or within commuting distance
- Must hold current A&P certificate
- Possess the ability to work self-directed and within a team
- Must pass pre-employment FAA DOT drug test and participate in random drug testing
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to work weekends
- Experience in performing maintenance on one or more of the following equipment preferred but not required: Pilatus PC-12, Cessna 208, Pratt Whitney PT6 Engines.
