Alpha Aviation, a 14 CFR Part 135 helicopter operator, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parts Clerk to support its aircraft maintenance operation. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, stocking, issuing, packaging, shipping, and maintaining accountability for aircraft parts, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. The successful candidate must maintain accurate records and ensure that all items are properly identified, documented, stored, and controlled in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive aircraft parts, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and supporting documentation.
- Inspect packages for damage, shortages, incorrect items, and other discrepancies.
- Confirm that required traceability documents, certificates, and release records accompany applicable aircraft parts.
- Identify, tag, and route received items for inspection, quarantine, return, or stocking as required.
- Stock parts and materials in designated locations using proper identification and storage practices.
- Protect parts from damage, contamination, deterioration, and unauthorized use.
- Maintain segregation and control of serviceable, unserviceable, rejected, quarantined, hazardous, and shelf-life-limited materials.
- Issue and sign out parts, materials, tools, and supplies to authorized maintenance personnel.
- Accurately record part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, aircraft or work-order information, and employee identification when issuing items.
- Process returned parts and materials and restore eligible items to stock.
- Perform counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations.
- Research and report shortages, overages, damaged items, expired materials, and inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor shelf-life limits, storage conditions, and minimum stock levels.
- Package aircraft parts and materials to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and supporting paperwork.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, vendor returns, repair shipments, and core returns.
- Handle and ship hazardous materials only when properly trained, qualified, and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and audit-ready stores room.
- Assist maintenance personnel in locating parts, materials, tools, and supporting documentation.
- Follow company safety, security, quality-control, and inventory-control procedures.
- Support internal audits and inspections by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
