Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aviation Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations for aircraft components. The successful candidate will ensure the availability of high-quality parts necessary for maintaining fleet airworthiness while adhering to strict safety, traceability, and regulatory standards. This role is vital in supporting highly regulated environments such as FAA Part 135 or Part 145 operations, balancing cost efficiency with uncompromising safety standards.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels by tracking stock, organizing parts segregation, and eliminating obsolete or excess inventory to optimize operational efficiency.
- Oversee procurement processes by negotiating with vendors, sourcing quality aircraft parts, and ensuring timely delivery to meet operational demands.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable aviation safety regulations and traceability standards, ensuring that all parts meet FAA requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and regulatory bodies to verify the airworthiness of aircraft components and facilitate audits.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy, reduce costs, and enhance traceability of parts.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements or cost savings.
- Ensure proper documentation of all procurement activities, inventory movements, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aviation parts management, procurement, or supply chain within regulated environments such as FAA Part 135 or Part 145 operations.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft components, inventory control systems, and aviation safety regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills and vendor management capabilities.
- Ability to analyze inventory data and implement effective control measures.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Relevant certifications or training in aviation maintenance or supply chain management are preferred.
