Lehigh Valley Aviation Services (LVAS) provides general aviation services to commercial, corporate, and private aircraft. In addition, LVAS offers concierge service to corporate and private aircraft customers in our Fixed Based Operations (FBO) facilit.
Essential Functions
- Receive and dispatch aircraft service and refuel requests.
- Process requests for various accommodations including hotels, catering and transportation.
- Perform accounting functions for daily collections and nightly reconciliation.
- Greeting and handling Customers in a polite and friendly manner.
- Clerical duties and light cleaning as assigned.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
- Professionally communicate clearly and concisely over two-way radio, telephone, and email.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with FBO event planning.
- Restock office supplies.
- Provide shuttle service within a 5-mile radius.
- Provide escort service as requested.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Previous Customer Service experience.
- PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, tenants, and the general public.
- Customer focused attitude, detail orientated, analytical with good judgment, able to multitask and work under pressure, a team player.
- Able to respond and perform in emergencies and to severe weather conditions.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Must- Have Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must wear uniforms provided (uniforms must be clean and presentable) and personal protective equipment.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license that meets insurance requirements.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays when required.
- Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements.
- Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
- Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
- Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 150 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and optional.
- Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
- Able to tolerate exposure to air fuels, exhaust, and de-icing and other chemicals.
- Able and willing to work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and warm temperatures.
