Asset Control Specialist
Starting hourly rate: $22.16/hour, plus applicable premiums
Additional premiums may include:
- Swing shift premium: $0.35/hour
- Graveyard shift premium: $0.50/hour
- Asset Control Analyst premium: $1.50/hour
- Lead premium: $1.50/hour

Behind every safe, reliable aircraft operation is a tightly managed inventory of parts, records and materials.
As an Asset Control Specialist at Frontier Airlines, you’ll support aircraft parts inventory and the parts turn-in process by completing accurate transactions, resolving discrepancies and helping ensure company assets are properly tracked and accounted for.
Working in a hangar and parts warehouse environment, you’ll use FMIS to maintain accurate aircraft and inventory records while supporting FAA, DOT and Frontier requirements.
This role reports to Frontier Airlines' Senior Manager, Materials Management. This role does not supervise direct reports.
What you’ll do at Frontier Airlines
- Perform accurate FMIS transactions for aircraft parts returned to inventory.
- Track returned parts to help ensure issued inventory is accounted for and coordinate with internal customers to resolve outstanding items.
- Complete accurate removal transactions to maintain required aircraft records in the parts inventory system.
- Perform inventory count verifications across a multi-million-dollar inventory.
- Research FMIS system failures and inventory discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve them according to company policies and procedures.
- Create weekly metrics and reports to measure turn-in activity, inputs and outputs.
- Maintain warehouse security.
- Support FAA and DOT regulatory compliance in departmental activities.
- Organize and maintain quarantine-part areas, including accurate condition codes and bin locations.
- Maintain the Material Scrap Evaluation process and determine required actions for parts in quarantine.
- Complete required FMIS transactions to properly disposition parts processed through the Material Scrap Evaluation.
- Coordinate with Support Shops to ensure parts identified for physical destruction are available when required.
- Ensure surplus inventory has accurate condition codes and bin locations and is stored appropriately for potential future sale.
- Track parts in robbed status and coordinate with other departments to help return parts to serviceable condition.
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse shelving and work surfaces.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Prior warehouse experience.
- At least one year of experience as a Material Specialist or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of FMIS, including the Orphan Item screen and Transaction Desktop, with the ability to research and analyze parts inventory within the system.
- Preferred experience and knowledge:
- Prior aircraft parts experience in the airline industry.
- Knowledge of handling hazardous materials and electrostatic-sensitive devices.
Work environment and equipment: This role works in a hangar and aircraft parts warehouse environment.
Equipment used may include:
- Computers and standard office equipment.
- Forklifts, pallet jacks, small trucks and hand trucks.
- Motorized vehicles operated in the vicinity of aircraft and aircraft-handling equipment.
Physical requirements
This position requires strenuous physical work, including lifting, pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
